Rare is the day where I feel like an over achieving parent when I feed my kids hot dogs and corn dogs. But add a little wrapped croissant dough and a couple mustard eyes, and all of a sudden this mom is feeling pretty good about her holiday spirit. I just throw a couple raw hotdogs on the table and the kids do the rest. It’s amazing how a little processed meat and butter loaded dough can bring the Halloween party to life. And unlike the deviled egg eyeballs that kids just looked at totally grossed out, these mummies will be the first non sweet thing eaten at the table. Nothing like a corndog to soak up all that sugar in those Oreo bats and worms in dirt ……
Ingredients:
- Hot dogs
- Corndogs
- Croissant dough
- Condiments (mustard and ketchup)
- Candy eyes (optional)
Let’s do this:
Mummy Dogs
- preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Unroll Croissant dough according to package. Cut or tear into strips.
- Wrap hot dogs with strips of Croissant dough to make it look like a mummy
- Cook according to package (11-14 minutes or until lightly brown)
- Add condiment dots as eyes
Corn Dog Mummy
- Cook corn dogs according to package instructions
- Add ketchup and mustard as mummy strips
- Add candy eyes

Mummy dogs and Mummy corn dogs
Ingredients
Mummy Dogs
- 1 package hot dogs
- 1 package croissant dough
- condiments (mustard, ketchup)
Corn Dogs
- 1 package frozen corn dogs
- 1 package candy eyes
- condiments (mustard, ketchup)
Instructions
Mummy Dogs
- Team Task: Preheat oven to 350 or according to croissant instructions.
- Team Task: Take croissant out of package and roll into long strips
- Kidtastic!: Decorate hotdogs with long strips like a mummy
- Team Task: Bake 10-12 minutes or until croissant dough is light brown
- Kidtastic! Add eyes out of ketchup or mustard and ENJOY!!!
Mummy Corndogs
- Team Task: Preheat oven according to package instructions
- Team Task: Cook according to instructions.
- Kidtastic!: Once complete add condiments for eyes and then place candy eyes over the top. Use ketchup and mustard as the mummy strips and ENJOY!!
