Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt plus more to taste
  • pinch nutmeg

Instructions

  • Kidtastic!: Heat the milk in microwave or saucepan to get warm
  • Team Effort: In another saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the flour and stir together for 2 minutes. Slowly pour the hot milk over the flour and butter mixture and whisk continuously for several minutes, until the sauce is thickened. Remove from heat.
